What are you doing this weekend?
This Friday and Saturday, one of my favorite vocalists will
be performing at Warmdaddy’s in Philadelphia! And if you're free, you should make your way there!
Who:
Where:
Warmdaddy’s (1400 S. Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19147)
When:
Friday; July 18th and Saturday; July 19th
(2 sets- 7:30 & 10pm)
How can I get there?
Call 215-462-2000 or go to www.warmdaddys.com to place your dinner
reservations
How much does it cost?
The cover fee is $15 (take cash!)
What should I eat?
The
very first time that I visited Warmdaddy’s, I learned exactly why people
always talk about the cornbread! Served in a miniature skillet, the moist
golden bread is topped with honey and sugar! I really like the Atlantic BBQ Salmon too.
Why should I go to this show?
I first heard/saw Jeff Murrell perform in October of 2011 and I was blown away! He was singing songs from his project- Broken Man and I was pleasantly surprised to hear a man empowering and appreciating women through his lyrics. I've seen him multiple times and he never disappoints! It will definitely be a treat to hear Chartel, Steven Walker and of course (one of my favorite bands) Vertical Current as well! Other things to keep in
mind. . .
*FREE PARKING!*
*Multiple dining options*
This show will take place in the main dining room but Warmdaddy’s offers a couple of options to its patrons- as far as dining and entertainment. If you plan to eat dinner in the dining room- while a show is going on, you should plan to pay the cover fee (usually $15). Sometimes there are ticketed events that cost more. If you’d like a change of scenery, you eat on the outside lower level or on the rooftop!
My first Warmdaddy’s experience was there (on the rooftop) on a cool night in August and it was so much fun! You have a decent view and although you’re not watching a show (no need to worry about the cover fee), there usually is a DJ to provide you with great background music.
Warmdaddy’s is great for gatherings (birthday parties, etc.). If you’re ever in Philadelphia, check it out!
