A Quick Message from Kara

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

I appreciate you being interested in what this everyday girl has to say ;-).  I'm a daughter, sister and friend who simply LOVES life!  I believe that we all have been created by God for a purpose and that whatever gifts/talents He blesses us with. . . we should use them to draw people to Him!

{The title of my blog comes from Proverbs 15:1 "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." My grandfather gave me the nickname "Bright Eyes" as a child, I decided to combine to the two things-> soft words and bright eyes ;-).}

I am a PK (Preacher's Kid). And I am so grateful to have parents who taught me the importance of having a *personal* relationship with Jesus Christ. I had to get to know Him for myself and I try to encourage others to do the same.

Through this journey called life, God has been my constant.  Yes- I have a great support system (friends and family) but knowing that the Creator of the UNIVERSE is concerned about you is an amazing feeling!  To be able trust in Him is a blessing!

I really was trying to get through this birthday- well- get away with not writing anything specific, but all of a sudden, ideas started flowing. So. . . Here are 7 Revelations that I am trying to be mindful of as I go through Year 37. 1. Proverbs 4:23 is a command (not a suggestion). Let It Go {One Year of Freedom}

I Almost. . . But I Didn't!- October 11, 2011

I almost forgot what I was worth. . . almost forgot that He loved me first but He reminded me. Things almost got out of hand. I almost walked out of His Will. . . His plan for me! Yet, He loved me!
