Seeing pictures was one thing but walking around my "auntie's" new home kind of blew my mind. A little over a year before this visit, my mom and I sat with her as she described this place that she wanted to move into.
I honestly think I forgot about it for a while until I saw Facebook posts regarding the move. It was really happening!
Seeing my auntie's new home- in person and attempting to take in its beauty made me grateful to God for the way that He had blessed her! Romans 12:15 instructs us to "Rejoice with them that rejoice."
During our visit, both my mother and auntie challenged/encouraged me to give myself more credit, step out on faith, and pursue the goals and dreams that mean(t) the most to me. A few days later, I decided to make a 30 by 30 List.
I decided that even if I don't accomplish every single item by the time I'm 30 years old, I still want to work towards completing the list or revising it as it becomes necessary. [I haven't even added 30 things to the list yet but I've already started making decent progress.] I understand that words are powerful and I know that with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
I often say that I am expecting GREAT THINGS and it is the absolute truth! My prayer is that my life brings glory to Jesus. . . that my words and actions will inspire people to know Him for themselves!
Last night, a couple of my girlfriends and I were BLESSED to attend the 2016 Poets in Autumn Tour in Philadelphia. When I tell you that we laughed, (almost) broke down in tears, and left extremely encouraged... I mean it!
During the event (I don't even want to call it a show), Ezekiel Azonwu spoke about living out our purpose. I know I can't quote him verbatim but he essentially said, "Don't wait to do and be all that God has created you to do [or be]! Get to work now!" That hit home for me! At times, I wonder if I have enough knowledge, support, or resources to accomplish all that I desire to do. However, I have to remember that God knows and sees all... and He will make provisions for me (and you too)!
I intend to follow Ezekiel's advice and I encourage you to do the same!
Don't worry about your circumstances. . . Focus on God- who can answer your prayers while you're still calling on Him (Isaiah 65:24)! Know that He won't abandon you. Trust Him to lead and guide you, as you pursue His Will for your life but make sure you block out all distractions so that you can hear His voice.
All things are possible, according to His Will! Free your dreams!
