I Feel Good!

Have you ever had a day where you just felt excited about life?!

Maybe nothing spectacular has happened but you just think [in the words of Fred Hammond]-> "I feel good and I know it!  {Don't hate me if I show it.}"

That's how I feel today (and how I've actually been feeling for the last couple of weeks). Maybe the weather has something to do with it ;-).  It is beautiful outside and it seems like Spring has made its official arrival.

While I drove to work a few days ago, I thought about the fact that God delights to be with us and even goes as far as to call us His friend(s)!  That is amazing to me!  Remembering the depth of His love helps me to keep things in perspective.  Throughout the day, we hear about various struggles that people face. . . hardships, heartbreak, etc. and it can be easy to focus on negative things instead of the positive.  In the midst of all this, it is important for us to

BE GRATEFUL!

The United Tenors (Hammond | Hollister | Roberson | Wilson) have a song called Everybody Get Up.  My favorite lines say, "I may not have everything I wanna have. And I may not be everything I wanna be. . . but Lord You give me everything I really need!"

I think that's the case for most of us- whether we're willing to admit it or not.  We really should focus on our needs instead of our wants/desires and realize that God is our PROVIDER!  The intangible things that He can offer us are far more valuable than money, clothes and cars.  I'll take peace, joy and love- ANY DAY!

Trust me- I know life can be intimidating at times. We can't control or even predict everything that will take place.  HOWEVER, we can take joy in the fact that God is always with us.

"Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you. . . I'll tell you where to go and you'll go there.  I'll tell you what to say and you'll say it.  Don't be afraid of a soul. I'll be there, looking after you."- Jeremiah 1:5; 7b-8 {The Message//REMIX}

No matter what you're facing or thinking about, I hope that this post reminds you of the things that you can [no] should appreciate.  God is always looking out for us and if you're not convinced- seek Him for yourself!  He designed our lives before we were created. . . Don't be afraid!  God is with you!

7 Revelations for 37

I really was trying to get through this birthday- well- get away with not writing anything specific, but all of a sudden, ideas started flowing. So. . . Here are 7 Revelations that I am trying to be mindful of as I go through Year 37. 1. Proverbs 4:23 is a command (not a suggestion). It reads, "Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life (AMP)." Other translations say to keep or guard  your heart. . . In other words, be selective and protect it. Watch what you allow to enter your heart. Seeds may be planted by various circumstances, people with whom you interact, etc. but you do not need to allow everything to take root. Things like bitterness, frustration, and envy will try to find a home within you.  Beware: Whatever you allow to take root in your heart will be reflected through your actions! 2. This goes right with Point #1. Be willing to have uncomfortable conversations. Clearing the air can also help to keep your heart [and spirit] c...

The Unexpected Temptation

I know. . . It's been time for me to write something new.🙈 However, coming across this video from Jackie Hill Perry to prompted me to actually get this post out. One line pierced my heart. "When you have a gift that involves words, one of the ways the enemy will tempt you is to be silent." Wow!  I hone stly think silence is one of the last things that comes to mind when people think of temptation. According to Oxford Languages, the definition of temptation is  the desire to do something, especially something wrong or unwise. I can hear someone asking, "How can silence be wrong or unwise?"  Oh. . . Hold on for just a minute and it will come together. There are times when our obedience [to speak] may be the key to someone else's blessing . Your words and actions could essentially provide healing for your brother or sister in Christ! In the book of Revelation, we read, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.....

I Almost. . . But I Didn't!- October 11, 2011

I almost forgot what I was worth. . . almost forgot that He loved me first but He reminded me. Things almost got out of hand. I almost walked out of His Will. . . His plan for me! Yet, He loved me! So much so, that He sent messages to me. Whether it was through a still, soft voice Or a gentle nudge to make the right choice. I heard it.  I felt it. I heard Him say. . . Don't listen to the world’s sweet nothings. Everything's not gold- just because it glistens. I've created you for myself . I want to be your love, your joy. . . your help. When will you realize how much I  love you? What more do I have to do?! I've given you strength, health and life. I can take what’s wrong and make it right. Don't sell yourself short! How I feel for you is in my Word. You’re wonderful beautiful fearfully made The love I have for you will never fade. Don’t let the world distract you. Simply set your affections on the things that are true Lovel...
